Out of the darkness, the voice of Christ was heard. The righteous had been preserved. Not only had they survived great earthquakes and natural disasters, but now their souls could be saved. Christ showed Himself to the multitude and declared, "Behold, I am the light and the life of the world" (3 Nehi 11:11).
